Mission Statement: Armed with the belief that God gave His only begotten Son (Jesus Christ) as the supreme sacrifice to die on Calvary's Cross in order to reconcile the world unto Himself, our mission is to "go forth into the highways and hedges and compel the lost to come that His house may be filled." (Luke 14:23)

Our Scripture verse: (Based on 2nd Samuel 9) "Mephibosheth," said David, as he called him by name; "from this moment on, your life will never be the same. I'm restoring your inheritance and bringing you out of Lodebar. As you continually eat at my table, you will forget that old war. I'm also assigning servants to sow and harvest your land. Today, mercy reverses the curse, according to the king's command."

In 1984 Pat and Benny Holmes were called and anointed by the Master to go and serve in His vinyard. They have served in leadership roles in several churches throughout the years, and have learned how to love and nurture God's sheep. In the early days of their salvation, they opened their home and invited anointed men and women of God to come and minister to God's sheep. During those days, they witnessed the "power" of the Holy Ghost in action; and they are still consumed by his power and presence. They believe that Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever and that He still operates in healing, fulfilling and delivering His people.

Benny and Pat are also the owners of baytowncops.com a local news program taking news to the next level by posting high energy video. If you live in Baytown, this is the top rated news outlet to find accurate news.

Personal bios

Benny Holmes grew up in a traditional church and always knew that there was a God.  But it was the night of July 15, 1984, that he surrendered his life to Christ.  He often tells the story when he ministers as to how God drew him into His Kingdom and called him to serve.  It was Pat’s (his wife’s) birthday and he thought he’d honor her with a meal at the restaurant of her choice.  He was totally shocked when she requested that she wanted him to attend a revival with her on that night instead of taking her to a restaurant.  With much reluctance, he agreed to go; but within minutes of reaching the Church where the revival was being held, he pulled into a restaurant in an attempt to delay their arrival.  Finally, they arrived at the Church, the minister was through preaching, but was now praying for individuals and their needs.  Benny arrived at the Church high on marijuana, which was his daily vice, and he was limping on a cane as the result of knee injuries sustained in years past.  He approached the altar in defiance in order to test the man of God who was speaking prophetic messages to some of the individuals in the prayer line.  The minister never asked Benny his prayer request; he simply laid hands on him and began to pray.  As Benny has said so many times, he started thinking “just as I thought, all of these people coming up here to the altar and falling out under some power is just a bunch of lies,” then suddenly, he felt a strange heat permeate from the top of his head to the souls of his feet.  He was totally surprised when he found himself on the floor, and was even more shocked when he got up from the floor approximately 30 minutes later to find himself totally healed.  To this day, he has never used a walking cane again nor gone back to the things of his previous life.  After leaving the service that night, he literally threw away all is dope paraphernalia, all his alcohol, and all of his shot glasses.  He began to chase after the heart of God and God’s plans.
God began to place them both under the tutorage of anointed men and women of God.  They began to experience the presence and power of God.  They opened their home and invited powerfully anointed preaching and teaching vessels into their home to teach all who attended.  A Church was birthed forth in their living room from those meetings under the leadership of Pastor Marvin Boyd.  As God’s Holy Spirit led, they moved on to other fellowships and grew in knowledge and wisdom and learned servitude.  They recently completed 12-years of prison ministry, and presently serve at their local home church, Church of New Beginnings, 3220 North Alexander Drive, Baytown, Texas, 7521.  They founded an outreach ministry (Saints On Assignment).  Their ministry outreaches in many ways with special ministry events 5 or 6 times a year, as well as a yearly ministry cruise.   They sponsor 2 weekly Bible Studies and they minister by special invitation.  The King’s Table Bible Study, which is an auxiliary branch of Saints On Assignment Ministries, is held each Tuesday at the Church of New Beginnings from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.  A free full-course complimentary meal is served to all in attendance and the Bible Study is open to any and everyone.

Pat Holmes grew up in a traditional denominational church and always loved to participate in church programs even as a child.  She learned many Godly principles from a wise grandmother who raised her and her sisters and brothers.  In the early months of the year of 1984, she began to feel the tug of God’s Holy Spirit, calling her to “come from among them and be separate.”  Suddenly, there was a desire to know more about God and His word, which led her to attend several revivals recommended by other servants of the Lord.  On July 15, 1984, she officially surrendered her life to the Lord and asked Jesus into her heart.  Immediately, there was a hunger to study God’s Word, which led her to read for hours at a time.  God placed seasoned and anointed vessels in her path that more fully opened to her the Word of God.  She began her teaching ministry at home with her children, nieces, and nephew as her students. During the early days of her salvation, she and her husband (Benny) opened their home to anointed men and women of God who ministered in their living room with packed-out crowds.  They were taught how to fast, pray, seek God and walk in faith.  They walked through a season of great darkness when they experienced bankruptcy and lost everything that they owned, including their home.  But, they also experienced God’s restoration power when he restored that same home back to them almost 7 years later.  Pat teaches 2 weekly Bible Studies and ministers by special invitation.  She has also been gifted with a singing ministry that has been used by God to open many doors.  She has learned the power of God’s presence and still chases His heart and His plans.
